Bigelow Barn

This is an old one.  I have been doing that 7 Day Artist Challenge on Facebook and I wanted to dig up some older work and work that had never been put on Facebook before.  This painting was done as a commission for one of my late wife's friends.  Her husband had built this barn on a small farm in the tiny town of Bigelow, Arkansas and she thought a painting of it would be a good gift.  That is until it came time to pay for the painting and then all of a sudden she was nowhere to be found.  I had never really uploaded this painting anywhere except for a small low res image on my main website because, while I have always loved this painting, I felt bad about it because it was a failed commission.  So I reshot the painting just for the Facebook thing.  A good lesson to be had here boys and girls, 50% up front on any and all commissions be they with enemies, friends, or complete strangers.
